Lands End to John O'Groats Charity Row (Charity)

On the 29th June a 6 man team will attempt to row the 1097 miles from Lands
End to John O’Groats all in aid of 4 worthy charities. The group mainly made up
of Leicestershire businessmen hope to raise £20,000 for each of the 4 charities
during their 3 week voyage.
Navigating the South West coast from Lands End, the team will head inland at
Sharpness Lock, Bristol. Aiming for Grimsby and the treacherous North Sea, they
will be passing through various towns and cities including Birmingham, Leicester
& Nottingham where they hope to stop for a few hours to meet with the public.
The final leg of the voyage sees them navigate the perilous North Sea where they
will spend 6 days at sea, rowing 24 hours a day in 2 x 3 man teams, to reach
their final destination of John O’Groats on time.

Racketball Trial (Sport)

Location:Market Harborough squash club

Market Harborough Squash Club are looking for adults who would be keen to learn to play the game of racketball under the guidance of Joe Green (club coach). All players will receive free coaching to get them started and 1 month’s free off peak membership during March at Market Harborough squash club. Equipment hire for the month will also be free. Racketball is a game similar to squash played with a larger ball and a shorter racket. The game in the UK is played on a squash court with rules similar to that of squash. As the ball tends to bounce higher in racketball than in squash, the game is easier and less physical than squash.. The game is cheap to play, easy to learn and a great workout in a short space of time. It is also a great way of making new friends. Why not start playing the UK`s fastest growing racket sport? To get a free months trial please contact Joe Green on 07957 856866 or e-mail joe@squashstuff.com.
